The European Banking Authority (EBA) updated its annual work programme for 2020 to face the more complex working situation due to COVID-19 and to alleviate the burden on banks. The EBA is keeping its interaction with the industry to a minimum. The EBA is only launching consultations that are considered critical. It has postponed the publication of final technical standards depending on their degree of finalization and expected time of implementation and it has put on hold data collection that is normally used for ad-hoc analyses.
