The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) provided information on the collection of reporting data for the calculation of the 2020 contributions to the Single Resolution Fund (SRF). Reporting data can be submitted via the reporting and publication portal (MVP-Portal) of the BaFin until 31 January 2020, according to the specialist procedure “Bankenabgabe”, once the institution has been approved to use the Bankenabgabe procedure. As in previous years, the completed Excel form and the annual financial statements required under Art. 14 Para. 1 of the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/63, with the auditor's report (in pdf format), are to be uploaded. For Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) credit institutions and group CRR investment firms under European Central Bank (ECB) supervision, only the Excel template (xlsx-format in the German translation) developed by the Single Resolution Board (SRB) is to be used. CRR investment firms under individual supervision and domestic Union branches have separate reporting forms. There have been no fundamental changes in the reporting forms for the contribution year 2020. According to Art. 13 Para. 1 of the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/63, the institutions concerned shall be notified of the determination of the annual contribution to be paid by 1 May 2020.
